1. After all this work, I am looking forward to the long August weekend.
2. I am looking forward to the long August weekend, regardless if there is rain.
3. I am looking forward to the long August weekend; however, the forecast is not very promising.
Daniela: #1--good; #2--on the right track--"regardless if" is not a grammatically correct construction, and note that there is no comma when the dependent clause places at the end of the sentence; #3--excellent.
#1- For the first time,I am looking forward to the long August weekend.
#2- I am looking forward to the long August weekend, because I want to travel to Edmonton.
#3-Holiday is the best time to relax;I am looking forward to the long August weekend.
Sariyat: Excellent sentences:-)
