GRAMMAR QUESTION, May 29th

Correct the errors in the following sentence overheard in the supermarket:

How many pops you got and how manys the same.

Remember that there is more than one possible correct answer.

Rupinder:You're on the right track with both of these answers, but there is yet another punctuation situation that you haven't thought through yet;-)
Carole: Yes, but you also need to think about another punctuation situation;-)

Carole: Sorry--no better. Don't use a semicolon before "and";-)

Sorry, I would rather keep a question mark in the first cause.

Hi Carole: You can't have both a question mark and a semicolon! You're still missing the "problem", but I admire your persistence;-)
