Hello,
Can we post the answers here? (comment section)
Hi Umer: Yes, this is where you should post your answers.
Hi Veronica,
I'll give this a try:
There were too many people at the mall so I quickly finished up my shopping. I was so rushed that the shirt I bought was not big enough and I have to return it.
Cindy Mercier
There were too many people at the mall so I shopped quickly but in my rush, I bought a shirt that is not big enough; I have to return it.
Rupinder,
There were too many people at the mall so I shopped quickly , but I was in rush ,I bought a shirt that is wrong size; I have to return it.
Cindy: Yes--but check the punctuation;-)
Sara: Almost there.
Rupinder: You have the right idea; now check the punctuation;-)
There were too many people at the mall so I did my shopping in a hurry. I was so hurried that the shirt I bought was not big enough so I'll have to return it.
Umer: Good--apart from the punctuation;-)
Another Attemp:
There were too many people at the mall, so I did my shopping in a hurry. I was so hurried that the shirt I bought was not big enough; I'll have to return it.
Rupinder,
There were too many people at the mall so I shopped quickly. As I was in rush, I bought a shirt that is wrong size. I have to return it.
Umer: Much better:-)
Rupinder. Very close.
Rupinder,
There were too many people at the mall, so I shopped quickly. As I was in rush, I bought a shirt that is wrong size. I have to return it.
Rupinder: Even better!
There were so many people at the mall that I quickly finished my shopping. In my haste, the shirt I bought was not big enough and I’ll have to return it.
Cindy: Much better--almost there;-)
Hi Veronica, Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
There were so many people at the mall, that I quickly finished my shopping. In my haste, the shirt I bought was not big enough and I’ll have to return it.
Cindy: The answers will be in the Course Announcement of the blog later today, but meanwhile, you need a comma before "and" in your last sentence because the clause after it is an independent one;-)
