LAUGH WITH ENGLISH

Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have.

Sometimes people attract germs because they don't wash their hands before they eat meals.

I disagree. Kill bacteria. It would force those people without culture to get with it!

Interesting--I think you both need to look at this one a bit closer;-)

Humans have both good and bad bacteria living symbiotically with them. Bacteria also live in clusters known as cultures.

The statement therefore implies that people should be in favour of products like pro-biotics because while some people lack ethnic culture, the only type of ‘culture’ they have is that of the bacteria that live within them.

Nadia: Thank you for a very specific response, but is there no culture apart from ethnic culture?

I'm sorry, you're right. While I only mentioned ethnic culture, I should have included a lack of other ways of life, such as religion, art, and beliefs.

Some people have such limited exposure to culturally enlightening activities as drama, art, languages, dance, etcetera, that the closest they get to "culture" is when they get sick. :)

Kelly: Yes, but there are good bacteria, too.

It`s a fun phrase to use the word CULTURE to make joke, since it has the two different meanings.

Seiko: Yes, that's the basis for many jokes: two or more meanings for the same word.
