The excited crowd eagerly awaited Santa at the mall.
JOSEPHINE: Excellent change:-)
#2 The excited crowd eagerly awaited Santa at the school.
These ones always throw me off. Shouldn't change to be to Santa? Since Santa is recieving the "action" of the verb.
#2 The excited crowd eagerly awaited Saint Nick at the mall.
And Uzma actually did change #3.
#3 The excited crowd eagerly awaited Saint Nick at the school.
:)
Oh brother I mean two not to!! haha
I guess I will go on with #4.
The enthusiastic crowd eagerly awaited Saint Nick at the school.
UZMA: Abby is correct--you changed the indirect object rather than the direct object;-)
ABBY:Thanks for helping with that--good change:-)
JOSEPHINE:Good--thanks for getting everyone back on track.
#5 The tired crowd eagerly awaited Saint Nick at the school.
#6 The tired crowd eagerly waved Saint Nick at the school.
#7 The tired crowd is eagerly waving Saint Nick at the school.
UZMA: #5--good; #6--with this usage "waved" is an intransitive verb so you need "waved at"; #7--yes, but waving at.../
NEXT STUDENT: Start again with "The tired crowd is eagerly waving at Saint Nick at the school."
The tired student is eagerly waving at Saint Nick at the school.
