VOCABULARY, Apr. 23rd, 2010

Vocabulary building is important for both reading comprehension and writing. Use the following two words (note the part of speech) in one sentence.

anachronism (noun) + either perverse (adjective) or perversely (adverb)

The costumes in this play are nothing but a perverse anachronism to the fifteenth century.

JULIE: yes, but the final wording should be "of (something)", not "to something)".

The perverse man said mockingly that Martin Luther King was born in the classical period; he told me an anachronism because his birth was in the Middle Ages.

SAADAT:The second word is good, but I can't get the meaning of "anachronism" from this sentence.
